Keep in mind it doesnt count unless I can get to Durango!  Actually, I havent tried half of what I got other than pedaling to work on monday!  Can you really sleep on a car sun visor?  Time to learn the hard way!

I've been plotting and planning for this since May but it took me till the weekend before to get it all together.  2 years of lurking forums and adding my own twist added up to this:

Bike is 28.2lbs exactly as it sits.  Not sure I'll be needing all 6" of travel when I crawl across the state at a hypoxic snail's pace but it should get the job done.  The full susp doesn't leave too much room to strap things to my frame so the rest gets stuffed into my pack.  I whittled it down to 5.3 lbs with the neurotic help of a fully itemized excel spreadsheet and a lot of optimism! 

Hopefully I'll have fun out there and make it back to work by Monday!

I'll be coming from the Springs too.  Dont have a set plan yet but I might be able to help you with a ride. 

Does anyone know if there is camping allowed at the start Trail Head?

How do you guys manage your cables and hydrolines with the front bag?  Do your cables go under the bag or over it?

Been watching this thing closely and am impressed with everyone out there. I have no idea what it's like to epic for 4-8 days straight but I know it cant be easy! I'm in awe and inspired!
