Relaxed geometry ie a slightly slacker head angle,

Read that a lot,          relaxed geometry.               Could mean anything.

If you pedal in 22, 36 for a long while, then approach the limits of your brakes on the way down?
182  Forums / Question and Answer / bike geometry for up and down hill--------- on: June 18, 2014, 12:02:12 PM
There are hills, and there are HILLS.
Down hill bikes are not made for going up hills.
Where is the balance?
If you wanted a new frame what would you look for?
Say for a month long ride on a trail.

looks like we are on the right track

I found a youtube video
Gear: #31 Build a Wood Gasifier Stove

A clever person could get off a plane and build a forest ranger approved wood stove.  I like to cook on coals from an open fire.  Rangers have no faith in my ability to cook safely.

REGULATIONS  you see.

I was thinking made from a soup can, with things you have in your pocket.  Disposable.
Fire bans on public lands, may or may not include fires inside a single or double wall can.  Forest Rangers will undoubtedly explain their personal opinions, and-or official policy too me this summer.  I may report back on that.

I drink a lot of coffee.
fuel weight counts as part of your stove weight.
Are stoves allowed on air planes?
I think a contained fire in a disposable container should be investigated

I have seen people putting twigs in a can and cooking on it.  In the modern world there are most likely regulations and rules.
so
Can you light a fire in a bean can to avoid the open fire ban?
Are there regulations regarding single or double wall construction?
How to build a better mouse trap portable wood stove?

There are bonus points if you can build it with the things you have in your pockets.

Are you allowed to have 2 bikes?
Say an old trek 930, and a 2015 Fargo
http://salsacycles.com/bikes/2014_fargo_ti/geometry/

Fargo is a off road touring bike. If that is what you want.
Maybe join a bike coop and fix up the old trek.
Nice to have an old bike the thieves aren't interested in.

Which one is easier on the eyes after a few hours?  I had a cygo light a year or 2 ago that was easy to look at for a few hours.  I have no idea what bulb it had,  The internet delivers to your door, but there is no try before you buy.

Depends what you mean by out of country?
They have 26 inch wheels and rim brakes in every village from north all the way to south.
29er is making a little progress in Mexico.  It will be another 5 years before they are every where.
There are no 29ers in Central America.

I have government contracts in genetic engineering.  We have laboratories at a place called Egor's Castle in Shawnee Heights, Kansas, and in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
The doors at my house are not locked.  I never forget to put bacon grease on the door knobs.
Guess which genetically modified animals I bring home with me?

I know a guy who had his house robed after responding to a thread just like this one.
In April, he let the Internet know he had a good job.
In may, he let the internet know he had a $5,000 bicycle in his garage.
in June, he told the whole wide web he would be out of town for a few weeks, to race on a gravel road from South to North for a few weeks.
In July, he returned home to an empty house.

I recently tried the new Thule rack designed for full suspension bikes,  Is there a good system for panniers on a smaller full suspension bike?
Thanks,  Lisa
Might have to sew your own bag.  I have never seen panniers on a full suspension bike.  Have you tried a bag strapped to your handlebar, and-or a frame bag?
there is a make your own gear thread here.
197  Forums / Bikepacking / Re: bikepacking with flat pedals/shoes on: April 30, 2014, 07:35:26 PM
Anybody find a good combination of flat pedals and walking shoes?
Kindly allow patience, while I attempt to explain what I want.

last August; I went to North Cascade National Park.  I got to the park by riding a bicycle.  I stashed the bike in the woods, then went on a week long hike. Next, on my bike ride out to the coast I stopped at the Eagle Nest hotel and camp ground. I said to the old women there,
^I haven't had a shower in over a week.. .. . She said, oh, not in Concrete dear. Don't worry.^

At the coast, the Indians pumped me full of cookies.  I enjoyed several festivals they had going on.  I went for a 3 day hike on the beach.  Next, I rode down the coast a little while.

So, I want to ride my bike with flat pedals.  And, I want my feet to be comfortable.  Comfortable while walking, and comfortable while riding.  I have yet to find the best combination.  I am not in a hurry. I don't care about speed or racing.

Seems like over a 100 years ago.

1993 it was, like, so.

I bought a bicycle in Belfast for 70 pounds, and pedaled all the way round the coast line of the Emerald Isle. Donegal was a good place.  So was Derry.
