John, great news about all the new trail. While speaking of additional HAB, why didn't you guys go up Bigelow trail right behind the spigot, up to the top of the mountain? Seems like that would be right in keeping with your mad style.
Great news about the market reopen, and really cool about the pavement bypass up to Jake's. Man, that's quite the re-route getting off all that pavement will be a great thing (next time I'm in the market for thumping by the 750).

Made it to the Grand Canyon and I’m out of time. This is a great race and punishing route My only regret is that I couldn’t go faster Of course it was hard but it was also a lot and I mean a lot of great trail riding. These were my first AZT miles but certainly not my last. So that’s it. Tubessnapper (Jeremy noble) is out. BTW the trail is kinda rocky
Impressive ride, Jeremy. Bummer you can't go on, I was sort of interested in seeing how your GC crossing was going to go!

Lee, looks like you got a ways up the hill and decided against it.
Your last note said it all - I encourage you to re-read Mr. Schilling's 750 blog: if you're not all in you're not gonna finish. Hell, for that matter, I need to re-read it as well.
Your last note pretty much looked like you had significant doubts.
Next time!

Yeah, the pointy end of the race is downright spooky. I'm with you on Kaitlyn's ride.
I'm real impressed with Curtis' ride, but fear he lost the Spot lottery this year - his updates have been rare from the get-go.
Got a text from Ron last night. Sounds like the heat really caused him problems. Looks like he's holed up at the Safeway in Tucson, trying to recover. After seeing what he's capable of last year, though, I suspect he'll be back in the saddle before long!

as much as I appreciate the cynical tone of this - yes we are at Jacob lake for the night
Mad respect for everyone that does this ride. We definitely came underprepared and I’m not too proud to admit that. I’ve injured this knee a few times in the past and I would hate to get stuck down in the canyon because of it, so I’m gonna sleep on it.
I get that. Yeah, I saw when you'd posted that but somehow hadn't made the connection that you were going to get re-sorted there at JL. Best of luck - hope you're able to continue.
