Rick Ashton just left Como for Salida, with the sound of Allez in the background, I have the Tour de France on.
If time permits he wants to push on past Salida.

I saw Mauro yesterday afternoon, he said he need to get to the other side of Salida last night which seemed unlikely to me. He said he was feeling good but seems to have only made it as far as Hartsel.

I have a bit of a gap, I thought that Dennis Loewen would be here yesterday but seems he stopped in Breck, had Breakfast there and is heading for Hartsel for lunch.
From now on it becomes much more difficult to anticipate arrival times.

I had 2 guys camp here who have spots, did the Grand Depart but are not on the Leaderboard because they could not find out how to make it happen.
Apprently there are others in the same situation.

Drew is fixed, I think 39/20. I remember he was just under 2 - 1.
He said the others were pulling lower ratios. That would make downhill worse for him

being a bit of a wallflower in como... shhh!
That would be Drew on a Fixie, probably the most laid back rider I have had in here, just headed out for Hartsel.

Perhaps he holds the fastest time for the TD but not the record for the route? That's how I'm looking at it.
Yep. I go with that. If you want to be really picky how do you know if someone has done the full actual route without cutting any corner without following them all the way. The SPOT is not that accurate.

Thomas from Germany came in, he has a Moot but hit Steamboat at the wrong time to visit the factory.
Billy came by this afternoon, looking stronger coming back than he did going up.
Camera now working so pictures to follow.

One more time: Nobody beat the GDMBR course record from the grand depart. They detoured in two significant locations. Their times cannot be compared. Especially Cjell's, as he was forced to stop at the Roosville border 250mi shy of Banff.
The posted mileage is 2725. Mike did 2867.13 mi. I appreciate the technicalities but certainly as far as I am concerned he holds the record, now what to call it so nobody is upset?

Peter arrived Friday afternoon not feeling good, he slept for a very long time, good to hear he is going well. Eric and Jeff had a late dinner and headed out to get to Hatsel by 11pm. They have to go down the Elkhorn a route shared by my Head Waitress....

Eric Foster called in from Silverthorne where he ate everything! Fred Arden called in from Steamboat Springs. And Michael Arenberg called in from Steamboat Springs. http://mtbcast.com/site2/category/td13/ So he should be hungry by the time he gets here? And thirsty. Sara had a late lunch and took the opportunity to mail some stuff home that was no longer needed. We also had a couple of TD Groupies here this afternoon, one of which intends to have his own spot next year.

Hey, the first Michelin star you got from me last year, ... as being the first German ever eating completely a complete English breakfast What would a German Michelin be?. I do not want to upset the French.

I had 2 stay last night, Ron and Peter. Ron had issues with his Garmin and obviously was lost without it. Or more correctly felt he would be soon. Still have not found my Camera so a new one is in my future. Can not find my cell phone for that matter either.
Jean Luis stopped for lunch, he liked the food so I will take that as my first Michelin star.

We are happy to put up $200 to the person that agrees to meet Jesse at the finish with a 6 pack of (decent quality) beer. Any takers? I can organise a funds transfer but we need photographic evidence on the finish ;-) ... So no tinnies of Fosters? Presumably it has to be ice cold. 001 is the dialling code for USA.
