Thanks for the replies. Is it advisable to just tighten the loose ones or should I take it into a shop and have them tensioned? Money is tight, I had to buy all the bags for the trip.

I am headed out to ride the Coconino 250 route solo soon. I have some 2008 WTB Laserdisc Trail wheels. I have never touched them and they have been fine. Should I have them tensioned before the trip or am I inviting havoc? I don't have wheel skills or a mechanic I trust.

I bought this as shelter for an upcoming trip. It appears that the Serenty net tent will not be in stock in time for the trip. I am bringing my Golite shangri-la instead. This was seam sealed by Six Moon ($20 additional charge) $120 shipped CONUS.

I have a pair of circa '08 Sunline V one flat pedals with no lugs and a pair of Teva Pinner outdoor performance shoe. The pedals have traction pyramids and that is enough for the Tevas to lock onto. I do not miss the lugs at all, I lose 37% less blood per ride without them.

I ride early in the morning in Lake Tahoe area when the mud is frozen. I would not be interested in doing that without my Stoic Anorak. TRANSLATION: Yes Hood!
