61  Forums / Classifieds / Re: ISO Framebag for Surly Krampus - XL on: January 17, 2018, 07:02:56 AM
I was looking for an off the shelf framebag for my ICT last year and I emailed Revelate Designs. They got back to me that day who had my size in stock. It’s one of their co-branded bags for Surly and I’m very happy with the quality.

63  Forums / Question and Answer / eTrex 20 Remaining Miles Left in Track? on: October 09, 2017, 01:03:07 PM
I was wondering if there’s a way to see the remaining miles while using a GPX track on an eTrex 20?
Thanks,
Woody

I was trying to figure out what was going on with Mike, but I think he is doing the original route that goes over Imogene Pass. thumbsup

How about a Surly ECR 29+? Can get a noncustom made frame bag for it as well, which is Made by Revelate Designs so can't go wrong with that.
And I don't have one either☹️

I believe they were handed out at the start to all the racers and they could turn it in at PieTown for a piece of pie on Salsa.

Once again I'm enjoying Brett's call-ins.
Always seems in great spirits.

And Hal's calling in with a forest fire on the American Trail race.

I believe he has climbed the Seven Summits successfully so he knows adventure for sure.

I've been watching Peter Puenner on his ITT and he's been riding strong. Averaging about 140 miles a day. Looks like he missed Gold Dust.

Yep sounded that way to me as well. Hopefully he got some temporary lights in Richfield. Looks like he rode into the night again. Last few call-ins he sounded pretty beat up with high temperatures and big winds in the desert then hits mud in mountains (I think)....
Go Hal!!!

Yep Hal is unbelievable. Always stays so positive.
Keep grinding it out Hal.
Congratulations to the two finishers.

Quick Q from a relative newbie follower of the race: I've seen a few places where people are calling Ollie Whaley winner of the 2012 TD but Trackleaders shows him 10+ hours behind JayP. What's the story there?

Ollie left has part of the grand departure and I believe Jay P did an ITT in September so that might be why.

 Thanks for posting pic.
I went over Engineer Pass late last summer (end of August) from Lake City to Animas Forks and they had a bulldozer rebuilding the road. Close to Animas Forks.
That area is a big tourist area and I'm sure they are working hard to get those roads cleared. So maybe some of the other racers will get a chance to tackle them.

Boy Indiana is going to have a good story trying to tackle Imogene Pass and being force to backtrack. Had to burn tons of energy trying.
Dylan is hitting some hot temperatures going into Moab.

Can someone post photo of the rock slide? I can't seem to find it.

It's a little hazing down here from the fires in New Mexico. Hopefully Indiana won't be in it when he reaches the top of Engineer Pass. Views are spectacular up there.

Ophir Pass is open so I wonder if Dylan will take that instead of Imogene.

Looks like Dylan went up and over Cinnamon pass to Silverton. I read Engineer pass was open so wonder what's going on. Will be interesting to see which way he goes now to get back on track.
