If that was the email about the wheelset I responded, they won't fit my frame.

Thanks

Dave

64  Forums / Trip Planning / Need a partner / Water Sources in the Kofa Refuge on: February 06, 2017, 09:42:44 AM
Does anyone have info on the mapped water sources in the Kofa Refuge?  I am planning on spending a week plus riding there in late Febuary or early March and the official map has numerous wells and tanks listed.  I am looking for info on which wells, tanks, etc actually have filterable water.  I called the refuge HQ and I was told that they are instructed to tell everyone they must bring their own water.

Thanks

Dave

Gen 2 Fargo.  Nice rear rack.  Right now it has trekking bars and Paul thumbies.  Woodchippers come with it too.  The bike is located in Phoenix AZ.  If I don't respond quickly here it is listed on Phoenix Craigslist too.  $800.00  I love this bike so much I purchased a Ti version and I don't need both.  I might consider some horse trading for a quality fat bike wheelset.

I have been watching her progress as she made a couple of apparent navigational errors early on.  She seems like she got it together after resting in Pie Town if those were navigational errors.  If so maybe she is straying again.

I hear Kim Kardashian is blazing down the route on a pink huffy beach bike ready to pose for "up skirt" photos for a minimal fee.  This could be your lucky day....

I love the sheep wagon photos.  Here is mine on a fat biking outing on the Conejos last fall.  I purchased a CL boat trailer for title and the license plate, took it apart and built it.  Being a 2 wheeled version it tracks well on the highway.  It is perfect when a frame pack just doesn't meet the comfort demands.  I was baking an apple pie when I took the photo.

Don't worry - it IS all in fun.  I very much appreciate Guy Martin not turning his run into a publicity stunt, because he could do that if he chose.  Hats off to him, and all the best.

I agree completely.  I did not mean to put anyone down.

Geeze, this is starting to sound like TMZ with all the Guy Martin obsession.  Give the guy a break.  I don't fault anyone famous or not who would like to keep a personal challenge personal.

For those of us that watch the Manx TT (which I've done for years), Guy Martin is a legend.  He's a pretty big deal "across the pond", motorcyclist extraordinaire, has a couple TV programs, etc.

A video that gives you an idea of the madness...

Maybe he will see the light like Mert Lawwill did and get away from all that noise and smelly fumes.

Sorry I have been out riding it.  I just got back from 6 days South West of Tucson.  The bike rocks.

Watching the tracking is almost as addictive as watching the TD dots.  One more day....

Thanks again, I purchased the bike.  With the currency conversion it worked out to $100 US dollars more than what Salsa's last MSRP was on a Ti Fargo frame.

I am looking to upgrade my gen 2 Fargo to a TI frame.  I will consider a frame, frame and carbon fork or complete bike.  Size medium.
