Thanks guys! Definitely fun reliving the race going through 5 hrs of footage...

I will say, though, it makes the trail seem more smooth and effortless than I remember it:)

Hah...there's some HAB in there! I will say I didn't really feel like filming as I was suffering up most of those climbs.  Hopefully this doesn't cause a bunch of people to show up next year thinking it's all downhill and smooth.

Aaron - WOW! That is an awesome video!!!!  Way to capture the beautiful scenery!  Would you be able to post that on youtube?

The problem is the cable on the far side of pic? Full length housing fix that?

Yep! That would solve it, thanks

Big bummer!  For now the most reliable way to fix that is to wrap electical tape around the whole frame tube and cable.  Long term you could repair it with a super strong appoxy like the 3M product called DP420 but finding it will be tough in a day.

Yeah....I'm afraid using tape or zip ties won't provide enough support for the cable housing during shifting but we'll see

Also - my frame was slightly damaged during my flight into Denver yesterday - somehow the rear shifter cable got ripped out of the cable stop (probably during TSA inspection, those bastards) and cracked the carbon cable stop.  Anyone have experience fixing carbon frames?  I'm thinking just getting some super strong epoxy and gluing it back on - any recommendations for epoxy type?  Kinda need to get this fixed TODAY.....

Here's my setup:

Still tweaking to cut down weight.....I like Joey's idea of packing enough food to not worry about getting to Silverton by 8pm, but I just don't think I have enough room for 4 day's worth of food to make it to BV, that's a $&itload of calories!

Anyone have any quick tips on a good way to get back to Durango after the finish? Bus, trains, anything? Do people try to coordinate rides?

I also vote for a Labor Day weekend start...I'm doing CTR and would like to do CSTR as well.  I haven't seen a start date for CTR, has that been announced?
