I had a bit of time over the weekend and decided to camp along the route between Abiquiu and Cuba. About 15 miles up Polvadera Mesa as it turns out. I caught Ryan Correy on the way up on Saturday about 7.30.The next morn got a fellow from NZ, I thought he said his name was Evan (but can't find an Evan on the racer list) just before 5am. Then Marshall Bird at 5.30.

Thanks for the photos! Good to see Ryan out there doing his thing Smiley

Just curious if anyone is aware of any shuttling options out of Antelope Wells other than what's listed on the ACA maps? My fiance Ryan Correy should be finishing up later today and looking for a ride out of AW.

In 2012 he lucked out with a shuttle coming up from Mexico, hopefully he will be so lucky this time around!

Another pic Ryan C. posted from Montana High Country Lodge... love the local support!

I see some of you are discussing dynamo hubs, thought I would mention Ryan is using one and is having great success with it compared to his set up in 2012. The light he has been able to use with it has made night riding much safer and more enjoyable by the sounds of it.

Also, really sorry to hear about Dave Rooney's situation! Sending positive vibes and strength to him. Dave and Ryan are from the same area, and we're really cheering for him to overcome this challenge. I don't know much about Sherman's Syndrome, but Ryan has told me about people who suffered from something like this when he did RAAM... many of them wore neck braces to help. Not sure how practical that is in this kind of ride, but thought I would mention it. Hopefully some rest will do wonders.

A couple more photos from yesterday.

I spoke to Ryan Correy (my fiancee) today, he wanted to sincerely thank the folks at the Montana High Country Lodge for their awesome support on his short stop there last night. It was a highlight for him to see the Lodge so supportive of the race and he highly recommended that other riders take the opportunity to stop at this great place. Thanks for all you did for him!

Just a quick shout out to everyone racing, especially my man Ryan Correy and our friend, Jim Trumpey (67 years old and the most awesome guy ever!).

Curious to see how the night will unfold for Ryan, since it looks like he will be hitting Ovando when everything is closed. I imagine he will need to restock but won't be keen on waiting until everything opens again in the morning.  In 2012, he hit Ovando after hours too, spent the night hungry camped out behind the Post Office... I was hoping this wouldn't be the case again this year Smiley
