Thanks. I skimmed that article and totally missed the spec section at the bottom the first time.

30lbs was about what I was antisipating.

I use a Six Moon Design Gatewood Cape Tarp (it's also a poncho) 11 oz
And a light bivy bag that is 6 oz (no ground sheet)

Total weight 17 oz
Total cost $180

Hello. I'm new to the Forumn and planning a bikepacking trip of the Canadian section of the GDT this summer.  Banff to Eureka. 

Should I expect snow that late in the season?
