I'm a medical student from the US currently living/working in Cusco for the summer. I'm planning to bike from Cusco to Puno (lake Titicaca) from August 1 to around August 16. I'll be mostly following the "Ruta de las Tres Cordilleras" route from bikepacking.com, with a few modifications (most obviously, my end point is in Puno and thus I won't be entering Bolivia/dealing with any border crossings). I'd love to have a partner for the trip. It seems like a fairly difficult route, and so I'm trying to be conservative with my projected pace (budgeting enough time so that I'll be able to complete the route at a 35-40 mile/day pace, but hopeful that I can move quicker than that). I'll be riding a hardtail 29er with regular width wheels. I've done a fair amount of bikepacking in the past, mostly 1-3 nighters around the western US, but also have biked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal.
Let me know if you're interested in joining me, it would be great to have a partner!
