yes, thanks for the reply....i got the box storage figured out, & using the Super Shuttle from the airport to transport it in case anyone else ever needs transportation. they seemed easy to arrange, easy to get an estimate ($28 for me and the bike). I did use the FB page you noted as well!

hi, I am visiting from the US to NZ, from the US, march 13-april 4. was thinking of riding out of wellington, also along Tour Aotearoa for a bit headed north, esp if riding alone. I'm having a bit of logistics trouble though, any ideas for a place that might help me get the bike case from the airport, store it, then the same afterwards? airport storage is too costly, and i'm with a family member but neither them nor their friend they are visiting seem to be willing to help or store the box, and i doubt it will fit in their car it seems. i have asked a few bike shops but no luck.

its not so hidden, it's just out of breezewood to the east there is a small lot and some older bike signs or something. its used in the randonneur race Crush the Commonwealth as an alternative to the bike Route S. i had heard somewhere recently that there is now a grant money to rehab it to a smooth condition which in my opinion will suck the fun right out of it. go do it before that happens!!! it's not too long....maybe 5 miles each direction??
its also used for research for testing things like self driving military vehicles and stuff, so if you see odd stuff don't get wigged out!! perfectly safe to ride, on the other end you will see public parking lots used by walkers, etc.

hi, i was just looking at the file now also, considering a 'maybe' trip from PA.....
i have to agree with AZT tripper on the possibilities that could happen with the way the loop is routed, and the nature of how things get when people are tired, etc.
this looks like it was a TON of work though!! really nice putting it all together.

the route changed that much? it was rerouted for a run a few years ago with trail/hike bike vs wildcat road (landslide) and the record still stood without changes....with continuaal changes these routes should not be on the record page here, but more on the likes of the Trans Iowa then....just sayin....

i would tend to agree that anything over the counter is ok to consider as fair game if your willing to take it.
caffeine is an accepted supplement in lots of sports, in various forms.
just be careful and do your research if you are mixing different supplements even if they are all over the counter (ie: extra caffeine with Taurine, etc)

chris, i was ok with the oct date (i agree some areas were prettier) but if there were any options i was going to vote for a little earlier? i just think those wet leaves and wet acorns on the (road) downhills were a little annoying....i have no problem with the weather or the earlier darkness, etc.   i know i can always go myself and do it earlier as an option too.....

even with all the restrictions for bikes, this trail looks nice...any more updates of anyone scouting it out?
i may read all the details and head down early next summer, this isn't too far of a drive for me for a trip....

hey yeah these FL ones aren't getting a ton of attention but they should be! I've done 3 times in FL now organized by Karlos (and help initially creating by Rob Roberts when he lived in FL) and they are great routes! A nice break from the cold weather too:-) yes, there are crocs, snakes, sand and rednecks....but not enough to kill the fun factor!
