Reopening an old thread.

Does anyone have any recent info about completing this route? I'm thinking of trying it out in a month. OF the 85 ish miles, it looks like several sections are just dirt road near 395. Just looking to confirm the whole route is legal, etc.

HI all,
I'm planning a trip to leave in 10 days to start in Monterey and drop into SLO, to Pozo across private land ( got permission) then joining the Tour De LP at 166 and going into the Carrizo, and then hoping to ride over Big Pine road down to Camuesa connector, and ultimately out Romero canyon or one of the other trials.

Any beta on snow conditions or some of the closed trails and roads along that last part of the route?
