Thanks for posting the route. I hope that my wife and I enjoy our trip half as much as you and Katri appeared to enjoy your trip to Big Bend. It looks like you both had a great time. Big Bend looks like a perfect place for a winter getaway.

Can you share your route information? Do you only need the backcountry permit when camping? I'm planning a trip to Big Bend from MI.
