Stephen, when you come do a multi-day self-supported race, then you can talk to me about their rules . Rules per route mile, TD does OK in that department. I respect that.

For being a self supported, do it on your own no registration, no prize, "race", there sure are a lot of rules and regulations......

I've been following (and I am inspired by) the Tour Divide for many years.....this year has been very exciting....BUT... the access to information has been pretty BAD. The "Tour Divide" website is only good for the Trackerboard with its 'Spot'-ty info which is some time hours and/or days off of current time....ALL of the other Tour Divide website feature that were happening in previous years, were not happen this year. MTB Cast is great but the riders don't call-in for days....nothing can be done about that...It's great to have the 'human' side of the story with real voices and funny details. This site (Bikepacking Ultra Racing forum) has been a good source of info....BUT...it's a public forum with opinions & comments etc. etc...... Just getting the straight info can be challenging. LIKE..... what happend with 2nd...3rd...4th....place riders? .....what time did they turn in? ?? Their Spot trackers are no longer on the leaderboard......Ollie got first place.... the rest got forgotten? Can someone please act as the "News Reporter" on one of the websites and come up with some posting of useful info (like finish times....or other facts & figures) Sombody needs to chill....

give me your e-mail address, I'll definitely share the data and any beta. Send me your e-mail address. Where do you live? I can't wait to do the trip again, but not in the summer, way too hot. The trail is so well marked with signage and blazes on the trees that it would be a cinch to follow with the leaves down. Probably easier than when I did it in April.

I have replaced my between meal snacks of cookies, chips, junk food, with broccoli, carrots, apples, bananas, raw foods, etc. I have been amazed that while I still get hungry, I eat something about every hour, the onset of hunger is way slower, and I don't have to eat something immediately. In essence, I am no longer bonking, because I am eating less sugar. I'm not a vegetarian, love me some red meat. I am also more energized and my on the bike energy has increased as well. My advice, snack on raw veggies and fruit.
