Talked to my brother Bob Butrico late last night.  Unless he wakes up feeling amazing, he's going to scratch this years race ;( legs and lungs aren't feeling it and he said its starting to be less and less fun. Bummer. But at least he knows he's finished it before, takes a little pain out of it.

Huge props to all the finishers and everyone else still out on the trail rocking it out!! Keep it up!!

Was at the finish this morning around 7:30am. At the beginning of Colorado Trail from Denver out of Waterton Canyon.   I believe this was Jefe who won.  He thought he was second!

Good God... I ride my local stuff in MI with more gear than that! AMAZING job!

Thanks for the spot update Scott.

WOWWWW! Congrats Jefe...  I cant imagine going that far, that fast, with so little gear. congrats! someone buy that man a beer or fifty!

side note, heard from my brother Bob Butrico this morning. He's doing well, legs and lungs have been hurting, but got a good night sleep last night.  Had a tire blowout yesterday near Sergents, was able to patch the tire, but it is iffy, hoping he can replace it in BV.

Thanks for the great pics!
Heard from Bob Butrico when he stopped in Silverton. He said the storm on Indian was brutal, lots of rain and 3" of hail "that literally hurt."

Good luck to all racers! Stay safe!

Yeah, somehow I missed getting a shot of Emily.  She may have been the black photo that didn't turn out.  Sorry Emily!  And I think I missed Bob Butrico too...

Yeah, Bob missed the start by about 20 minutes, got lost on the way to the trailhead LOL!

Just got word from Bob Butrico.  He's in Silverton and glad to be there. Eating as much as he can, resting, maybe laundry(Huh?) and crashing in a hostel for the night to dry out some gear.  Potential issue with his front derl, only has granny (whew...).  He'll be back at it again tmro, projected finish on Thurs.

Totally beat from the past two days, but still in good spirits!  His take was a lot of carry-a-bike to go nicely along with the hike-a-bike.

congrats to all the finishers, and the ones who will finish soon. huge to be able to even try a ride like this, let alone finish it!! grrrreat work!

Cat Morrison called in with her finish call. She finished at 2am giving her 6:19:19!
Toby Gadd called in from Silverton with an update and a warning!
Mark Caminiti’s girlfriend, Layla, called in with an update on him. He was able to call her from near Lake City and hoped to get to Silverton later today.

What was Toby's warning?  my brother Bob will be in Silverton really late tonight or tomorrow.
thanks!

Heard from Bob yesterday, he's doing well and feeling better, he's going to keep on keeping on.
