I believe Kyle Peterson is just now finishing as the 1st single speed. Also Adrian Stingaciu the only Fixed gear Ssp will get to New Mexico today. I wonder if Adrian's dot is yellow only because he had repeated tracker outages early on? If that's the case it'll all be legitimized when submits his gps track for those days.

Can someone explain why there are two red lines routes towards the top of Lemon on trackleaders? Ana & Alexandria are on course but on two different routes at the moment. Is there some strategy at play? Single speed vs geared route advantage?

Despite the bad weather on the route, this is turning out to be a very fast TDR. Barely 18 days done and already ten finishers. By comparison, in 2014 there were only six finishers under 20 days. Re-routes? Front of the field luckier with weather?
Paved fire closer reroutes around the uber sticky NM monsoon peanut butter mud might be playing a role.

It's really hard not to be impressed by these blokes! I guess Nat will raise the bar set by Hal. Will he be the oldest to complete within the "unofficial" time limit?
At this rate, both should make it, That said, freeze-thaw slush & mud is type 3 or 4 fun.

Does anyone know what happened to Shawn Cheshire the blind solo rider from Flagstaff? Her dot hasn't moved today. I'm hoping it's just a Zero Day or a tracker problem. Such an inspirational woman!

Even when he goes off course he goes far. i usually went off course on long downhills with long grinds back up. rarely uphill.
In my history of marking MtB race course, I can say w/ some certainty"'Nobody ever got off course by accidentally turning Uphill"

Too shocked to look closer but the sandals look thin and basic nothing fancy with clips must have been flats.
Well Sandals w/ Flats are always better than Tires w/ Flats ; -)

Bad end to my last try at the AZTR. Having the Anything cage w/ full sleeping & cooking kit break off was the last straw. Jerry's pep talk yesterday had me motivated, but my poor logistical skill & bad luck doomed me.

A h2o warning, the Colt tank enclosure on Canalos West that has always been Dependable is now Bone Dry. Plan on filtering from some other sources. A bit West in plain sight there is clear running water visiable from new ST down a short Creek bank. Also all Canalos are over grow with tall grass & catclaw. Very hard to find trail at night as handlebar light on lumnates the seed heads on tops of the grass. Don't dispare when grass is over your head. UR only 30 ft from the asphalt into Patagonia.
