Stick with the whsiperlite mate, it might be little heavier but compared to to an alchol stove it's bliss. Personally, I switched from a Trangia to a dragonfly (burns almost anything) and I wouldn't swap back for a weekend with Claudia Schiffer! Well to be honest I might but she'd have to be very nice to me  thumbsup

Personally, after years messing about with tablets  BangHead my wife bought me a Katadyn Hiker PRO last year and I'm a now a total convert. It's so lightweight, easy and quick to use I even take it on long day rides too. Why hump a couple of litres of water when you can carry a small bottle and top up on route Shocked)

As a lot of the people above many of my friends swear by the sweetwater too.

If you're using a camelbak the inline filters do a good job too.

Personally, I always prefer a bivvy sack, but when it rains there is no denying that a lightwieght tent is more comfortable. I don't think it's the lightest, but the Vango Helium 100 Superlite Tent - is a great tent and comes in a less than a kilo which is light enough for my trips.
