Ran into Forest Baker heading up Tenmile around 6pm today. Looking strong and all smiles. AZTR, TD, and now CTR, that man is one tough dude! Congrats to the finishers and the folks still out there!

By the way, anyone here coming down from Boreas Pass this afternoon?  Frame bags and aerobars on fat wheels is peculiar sight.

My frame is cracked...I was warned and now its real(Superfly is Super Cracked).  Considering my options right now, not sure if the warranty will be here by the time I leave and I'm not sure if I want even ride the new one if it gets here in time.  Looking at Ti frames, see if I can't get a bike loan or something. I feel like punching a wall.

Sorry to hear about your situation!  Had the same thing happen early May with a Niner Air 9 scandium, luckily a very appreciated bike shop came to the rescue, and had a new Air 9 hydroform in 2 weeks.

Make sure if you switch frames, that the components you already have line up.  With the new Niner, the headset and bottom bracket wouldn't transfer.  Also if you're running a frame bag, make sure the dimensions are "close".  Best of luck getting something together, it will all make sense as you petal away from Banff.

I am really liking the saguaro and i am considering putting it on the back as well just because its so reliable.  Also about the weight, an extra 100 grams for durability is not even a quarter pound.  That much extra weight is worth it for some extra durability and piece of mind, especially since you won't notice it with how strong we all are...or are going to be 4 days into the race.

What I learned about tires this week
Three things are of the importance for this race

1.  Rolling resistance
2.  Durability
3.  Weight

You can really only pick 2 of these items.  I choose rolling resistance and durability, which only added about 120 grams.  I think I will be happy with this decision.

Running the Saguaros 2.2 non-TNT front & back this year.  Durability & rolling-resistance were the deciding factor, emphasis on durability. Super happy with the rolling resistance on these, very similar to the Nanos I was running for the past 6 months. Better to keep moving forward with slightly beefier tires than not moving forward with a slashed tire.

are any of you shipping your bear mace/co2 cartridges? i think im going to do this tomorrow...or will i be more wise just to buy these things in Banff?

Buying in Banff, figure bear spray is easy to come by in those parts.

Jeremy Cleveland made my bags and they are fabulous.

Same here!  Jeremy makes some quality stuff for a very reasonable price.
