My wife worked for a Podiatrist until he retired several years ago. I have a neuroma (one of the bigest he had ever seen) and he still recomended an injection of Celestone with Lidocaine to the area. worked great and lasted up to a year. I do not know the cost as mine were free, something to consider. Also try riding with no insoles, that gives more room. I don't use insoles in any shoes. ymmv!

Mark Beck got lost and I believe is in polebridge. IMO he missed the turn to cabin pass after butts, took the wrong right, went all over the place, backtracked, crossed the border illegally at the old crossing with bridge out since 90 or so. now in polebridge the only town nearby with food.
Wow. i want to hear this story.
Perhaps now Mark is going to take N Fork Road all the way to Columbia Falls, Different Drum!

Yeah, Steve, I would agree. Koko looks more like AZTR than TD. Ok, so where will the golden spike be? It's normally around Brush Mtn in Colorado but Dom is powering so I am guessing somewhere around Atlantic City or even Pinedale? Which way will the wind blow in The Basin? Dom could be in for a free ride there. Can anyone on route grab some shots of Dom Irvine for us dot watchers, please? It looks like Jason Carter (ITT) is off route in The Basin or is using an old route gpx/aca maps. I don't think the ride into Rawlins is anything special..... About 10 miles south of Atlantic City.

whats up with Josiah's reload
Stomach isn't doing so great so I opted to drop into Bailey and will try to get some breakfast in the morning and asses whether I should continue. If so, I'll be taking the 285 detour since I had all of taryall I could stand yesterday.

Kudos to Pavel Macháček, of the Czech Republic, who went off route to Del Norte (had to fix something?) then back to where he left the route and is now plugging away. I just finished a long bike tour in his country, which is a great place to ride! Bike paths everywhere.

math check?something doesn't add up? Re: Bag weights Getting off on an OT tangent here, but... The weight of the bags really do matter. Call it the inherent overhead cost of carrying gear. Gotta carry more to carry more... Weights for all the [unloaded] bags on my Moto-B hardtail listed below. Thanks to the spreadsheet, it hurts to do the math. Not listed below, Osprey Manta [20 or 30 - usually the latter], which is another ~1550g unloaded.
Bar [Small Revelate] = 295g Seat [custom Wheelright] = 235 Gas tank [Rev] = 115 Gerry [Rev] = 72 Frame [custom Nuke Sunrise] = 360 Feeds [2ea - Rev] = 95 x 2 = 190 Total bags [not backpack] = ~2850g [~6.3-lbs]

[ Using her average overall mph since she got her SPOT (7.28 mph), her projected overall time would be 15 days 4 hours, 32 minutes, assuming things stay the same. (Ha! As in, "What?? Stay the same??!!" ) This uses a course distance of 2,659 miles.
In any case, let's agree that she owns the course this year, regardless.
Boogie Leal, boogie !
you are correct Flinch. Lael owns the T D this year

I was hoping Lael could do it, but the mud and GI issues put a damper on that. Her overall avg speed is 7.3 mph and moving ave time is 5.0 mph. At 1100 miles to go and around 5 days left to match time she would need to avg around 9.17 mph with no sleep. Lael still can race for the womens course record.
