Just came down pass to roosville on ITT.  Ran into ranger who said someone was rescued coming down that pass.  Apparently he/she lost front brake and went into ditch.  Plenty of sun  here.

Ya apparently the Guy removed the all brake calliper from wheel to save his pads being munched by Flathead Mud!!

Spot Trackers has some issues going through the big cold clouds of the Rockies!?   

Here in Fernie snow is finally melting after a few days of warm temperatures over 20°,rivers and creeks have,of course,swollen,and I heard of the first bridges being washed out.Dike in town has been munched in some sections but nothing to scary so far…if big rain do not come into play ,we should avoid the big flooding like last year.Good news for you guys is,that snow is melting!
I have not heard of any specific issues on course so far and I will go up there make some inspections a little closer from the Start.

Its a melting snow/water ratio effect on rivers around Fernie BC…as you can see this year curb is close to his historical max,wich means that nothing has been melting so far in the upper elevation, in fact with still cold temperatures late April and early May,4°C this morning and raining,it must still snowing up there ( you can see the curb going down and up again!)….this is not unusual around here but we might have still a good snow coverage early June!!
I am going to find out if we can translate that graph in snow meters...

Oh yea, Kurt said no way would the north bounders make it thru the snow up north. Northbounders  dont get the detours??? he thought that would be a big deal

I heard from my hubby tonight via email. He is in Platoro, Co staying in a cabin. His tracker batteries are dead. I was so surprised to hear that he made it into Co after tracking backwards to find his tracker. Go Pete!!
