I'm thinking about that but light materials are too expensive for me. Maybe next year, after holiday work(?)...

I've tested my spinnaker tarp while 4 days riding in polish mountains. The best kind of pitching:

...was very good.

Hi there,
after my quite heavy tent-tarp i decided to sew something lighter. With 32g/m2 grey spinnaker i sew 1.5x2.5m tarp. With guylines it weights 239g.
I'm not very sure that it will be enought while raining...maybe some bivi?

I know that it is a lot, and it weights...but to pick this tarp up perfectly I need 9 pegs. I'm lucky man, to have alu, 6g each, pags.

Wow! Pawel and from Gdańsk to that! I'm from Gdynia. Smiley

I know that the weight isn't the best but it's becouse the material is heavy rip-stop.

The pack bulk isn't a problem. Everything goes to saddlebag (small pack), and the frame (two alu tubules) I attach to my bike's frame.

The color is perfect to stay invisible in forest.

To be honest: everything is made to be cheap, becouse I'm a student. Smiley

Hi everyone!
As I see, I'm first from Poland here, on bikepacking.net. I'm one of not many bikepackers from Poland and I would like to show u my first real tent-tarp I've made myself. It isn't ultralight, becouse with 9 pegs, frame and cover it weights about 800g. Everything becouse of heavy material (silnylon isn't very popular in Poland). In spite of this I'm happy with my new tarp. icon_biggrin

Do u like it?
If not, what can I improve?

I would like to invite to my blog: www.wciazwdrodze.blogspot.com
