The “OT100MTB” is a point-to-point 100 mile cross-country mountain bike race. This race is 98.5 miles of remote Missouri backcountry single track and 1.5 miles of gravel and pavement connectors. 11K+/- climbing @100miles

In 2015 the top racer set a new course record of 9:48:22.  However, three women finished the 100 miles in under 14.5 hours. The average finish time was just over 16 hours up from the 2015 average finish time.

The Ozark Trail Association presents the 2017 OT100MTB race and the OT50MTB race for its 4th year. The net proceeds from the races support the Ozark Trail Association, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The OTA  maintains over 390 miles of backcountry trail (single track) in Missouri.

Registration is open until 9/27/17

We parked at Purgatory or Durango Mtn Resort when we did the Hut to Hut to moab.  There was a gravel lot just below the resort main office.
We did stay at the resort a night or two prior to the trip.

I am just promoting the OT.  It's a little known newer long trail in Missouri.  The Middlefork is the possibly the best ride, however I wouldn't rule out any section for a good ride.
the OT 100 is also in the longest section open to bikes.  There are 2 loop trails connected to the OT, Council Bluff Loop with 13 miles and The Berryman Trail (IMBA EPIC ~25miles)

Feel free to contact me regarding trail conditions and ride options. I spend a bit of time in the area...
