I spent the last couple of summers riding and running the Colorado Trail, culminating in a 5-day bikepacking adventure of the last 280 or so miles.  My son is an aspiring film-maker so he and I put together this little mini-movie of the whole project.  I hope you enjoy.

I have done a couple of shorter, overnight bikepacking trips and on those trips I strapped my tent/groundcover onto the front of my handlebars with a couple of adjustable straps.  Didn't have any problems but am wondering if I need a handlebar sling for a 4-5 day trip on the southern half of the CT?  Without a sling, is the big issue crushed cable housing, etc.?

Hello.  I am also looking for CT bikepacking partners for this summer, but June does not work well for me.  I am looking at the 3rd week in July.  My goal is a 3-day ride, hoping to cover around 200 miles of the CT, probably going from Denver to approximately the Salida area.  I'm new to Bikepacking but have done some big rides like the White Rim Trail and the Kokopelli trail, just never loaded down with full gear.  If anyone is interested in late July for this ride, let's talk!
