or over there sans-apartment, is what I meant to say, ha. 2 months isn't very long, considering.

Thank you so, so much!

That's what I thought, about the trailer, but I was considering it because I'm going to be over there for such an extended time.
Anyway, this was ridiculously helpful, thanks again! Cheesy

Hi, I'm new to this, and I desperately need some advice, if any of you are up to it!

I'm a student right now, so a little short on funds. I'm heading to England for 8 weeks (at the least) this summer, and to make it as inexpensive and fun as possible I wanted to try bringing my bike along and camping, instead of the usual train/hostel option. I'd be stationary for the majority of the trip for an educational program, but I'm worried about airports/having the bike on public transportation, that sort of thing.

What would I need, to carry my things with me? Obviously a 'backpacking' backpack- I want to travel light, but at the same time, it'd be nice to have a few changes of clothes. Smiley But saddlebags, panniers, I have absolutely no idea about. What are your opinions on bike trailers?
How would I go about getting the tent onto the bike? I've seen photos of people slinging theirs lengthways, directly beneath the bike seat; is this recommended?

Again, any help with this would be fantastic!

Hi, I'm Milo and I think this is a fantastic idea! I've been thinking about doing something similar for ages, but haven't found an outlet for questions since I'm new to this, so I'm hoping being here can help me out a bit. Smiley
