Beautiful pictures of the full moon! There is nothing worse than taking pictures with a poor quality camera or having to cart about a dslr in order to get the money shots... Your new snapper seems like a nice compact that takes money shots..

Thanks for sharing your account of the trip with us. The pictures capture the beauty of the landscape and the essence of bike packing trips superbly. I enjoyed the read and pictures more than a 'Professional article' of a similar trip in a magazine article I read on Friday. Be sure to share your second trip with us. thumbsup

My copy arrived here in the UK a few days ago. I was grateful of some bike and great outdoor related imagery to watch. I've been off my bike and work nursing a broken jaw and various injuries after the steerer of my forks on my cyclocross bike snapped without warning. The film captured the quest for adventure the riders were looking to undertake. A little more background on the riders and their motivations would have been a welcome addition to complete the story, but I'm guessing budget and resources only stretch so far.

Hopefully the BBC will release the recently broadcast documentaries by Marc Beaumont entitled 'The man who cycled the America's'. on DVD. Anyone who enjoys the Ride the Divide movie will enjoy this highly personal video diary which encapsulates the yo-yo nature of the mental state of mind a journey like this provokes and the bizarre situations that you can find yourself in.

It is good to see that money and resources are been invested into documenting our particular guise of exploring the outdoors.

I've run a se of 35c Panaracer cinder cross on my CX bike for a couple of years. They roll well both on and off road whist offering plenty of predictable grip. I do have to run them at 10-15psi more pressure than normal when I'm carting bike packing about with me. The extra weight is significant enough to deform the tyre more. They are light and pretty tough as they have a high TPI carcass.
I'd fit the biggest tyre you can accomodate. 35c is minimum for me. Had some 28c items before and dented rims on regular occasion.
