:icon_biggrin:Congrats to all the finishers this week! Wow, more finished than scratched and there are still about 30 on the trail! Some blue dots appear inactive for days, i.e., CB and GA...did I miss something? Did they have to leave the ride? It is amazing to hear of riders that have come back after scratching to finish the route. Yeah, Fixie Dave, persistence wins! Sounds like weather is hitting those in NM, but there is quite group moving towards AW and the finish. Still an exciting race to watch and listen to. Oh, let's not forget to shout out to TB, in Rawlins. Keep it goin', Tracy...every day you are closer to AW!

Congratulations to all the racers who finished up to now (Including those who provide the entertaining comments on this site from previous rides). I love the statistics from Amy, thanks. The TDR is truly an atheletic event.
Day 22 and it looks like we may have a race to the finish between Michael I and Georg D, at least from the perspective of this blue-dot junkie. Mikey appears to have taken off as of 6am. I'm behind Mike all the way, but Georg appears to have proven to be a worthy adversary and companion. May the best man take the #15 spot!

I touched base with Ryan earlier and he mentioned going off route where Alberto B is now doing the same thing. He was definitely a little frustrated, after "running on fumes for most of the day". He wasn't looking forward to back tracking in the heat. He found a place to fuel up and cool off for a bit, so in the end, it worked out alright Hopefully Alberto will take advantage of the services also. Thanks, RCtracker, BTW, how's his blistered toe? Surely better since he's in good spirits and taking great photos. Looks like he's fired up to reach Antelope Wells. Go, Ryan!

I talked to Eric S. He supposed to leave Silver City at 3 pm. His Dad mentioned he was having problem with his SPOT (I guess it was due to low batteries). I am assuming he never got that fixed and his SPOT just stopped working.
Thanks for the update, It is comforting to his Blue Dot fans to know he is rested and 'in the game'. Go, Eric!

Has anyone else noticed that Ryan C was off the course and headed further up Rte 35 in the Gila earlier today. Had to tick him off! And now, Alberto B is doing the same thing!!! Maybe this will give Katherine W a chance to gain back her spot if she can avoid the same pitfall. Just has to get Terry B off her tail. Tons of excitement still out there...
Footnote: Hope Eric S set his alarm or he'll be known as Rip Van Schraufnagel!

There's plenty of riders still spinning out there tonight, as usual, especially 5 riders in the middle of the 100+ road ride through rez land south of Cuba.
Huge congrats to all riders who finished and given us exciting 'blue dot' views. The top 10 have given plenty of viewing, but I agree that the riders coming up in the next 5-10 are putting on a great show too. Katherine has shown her independant side, riding for days solo, now she's showing her 'grit', she's up early this am (GO, Katherine), riding up on Alberto, who has been amazing (to a non-biker) in pulling away from the other men in that section of road. I'm in awe of all these riders. I've followed Mike Intrabartola since he is 'family' and I know he has atheletic skills (ice hockey) and loves to ride. He and George Deck appear matched in a similar way as Ollie and Craig, consistency, pacing a similar ride and, I'm sure, some bonding, but yet they are riding their own ride for days. Amazing riders, all!

Just saw that Robin Borstmayer scratched; bummer. He was doing great. Anybody know what happend to him? I rode with him a little on day two and ended up sharing a cabin in the Flathead section with him, Tim Z, Aaron W, Rich W and Eric F. We were all soaked to the bone and on the verge of hypothermia. A hunters cabin saved our tails.
I wondered the same thing yesterday. I went to his individual page and read a comment from his wife (?) that said he had ankle swelling that he could not get to come down. Comments also said he came further this year than the last TDR run he did and he did give some dotstalkers a good show in the days through Colorado. Good luck next time, Robin!

Congratulations to Garrett and Kurt for this morning's ride into Antelope Wells! Hope Craig will get on the road to the finish soon...this race still has some exciting struggles, like Babe and Eric and the pack of guys coming up on Katherine. Go Katherine!

That is some due deligence, to walk/push that length of time! I think all of us that have been following Georg wish him well and fast repairs if possible. I've been following him since Day 1, along with Mike Intrabola and Robin Borstmayer. They all seem like well-matched guys in their stamina and determination. I personally know Mike and vouch for his sense of humor, great sportsmanship, excellent work ethic, and all-round love of life (including cycling). His call-in this morning sounded like he was tired after a rough day, but pushing on, despite a 'fork' issue...loss of suspension?? I hope that was the right call since all I've seen is that the ride to Del Norte and beyond is getting tougher.
What is it about the Salida to Gunnison section? First AJ, the Georg, had problems. This ride/race has loads of excitement!

I'm sorry to see that AJ had to scratch. He ran a great race. Kudos to him!
Anyone updated on Josh S? Bike issues or health keeping him down? Hope he resurrects as he did further north and finishes!
Had some concerns about T-Race til her call-in. Glad she knows when to rest and she is stronger today. Go, girl!

I am so sorry for AJ's bike problem causing him to scratch. He ran one great ride! Kudos to him!!!
Any word from Josh S who is stopped at S. Springs? Health or bike issues? Either way, hope he resurrects as he did further north and makes the finish.
Had some concerns about T-Race until her call in, but she appears strong, knows when to rest, and seems persistent. Go, girl!

A suggestion that may also help is to get Band-Aid blister pads if possible when in next town (drug store). They are a cushioning gel pad that helps with pain and healing, water-proof and super adhesive (supposed to act like a new skin layer). Best of luck to RC, running a great race.
Kudos to all the riders. I'm in awe since 'watching' this ride. My friend (MI) is riding in support of Alpha-1 Foundation. This dibilitating disease get in lungs (COPD, emphysema). He's a rookie that has been riding approx. 130 miles/day, staying in top 20, near T-Race, another favorite of mine!
