Congratulations To Mark Caminiti. What is this? 5? Wow. I think I met Mark at Brush Mountain. I believe he was shooting for a Triple Crown, which I can't explain. Also, maybe not his first. He came in really late, ate, slept a little, and was gone early. If I remember correctly, "wired" was the correct term for him. ;} Congrats, Mark.

If you're not already aware this is a great stop along the way. You can spend the night or just in and out. Smiling faces and great food services.

Mike Ingram is almost done, probably in the next hour. I can't see exactly as Trackleaders is trimming off his last few miles.
Bundy Phillips isn't very far behind, where the NoBo route leaves the Smith-Dorian Trail. It looks like he's gone down for the night, though, so should roll into Banff Thursday.

It looks like Mike Ingram (NoBo) might be finishing in the next few hours. He was shown just north of Elkford about 5 hrs ago, then his icon started bouncing on Trackleaders as if he'd finished. Then, his icon disappeared from Trackleaders. There hasn't been enough time for him to finish.
Anyway, he'll be done pretty soon. Good Job, Mike!

it looks like he has had some sort of problem to me also, he's not just at the ranch for 13 hours now, he went back to it after setting off up the road. so its looking like bad news for a close ride with MH. lets hope its not him out
Or, maybe just not transmitting?

Saw two riders heading out of Separ about an hour and a half ago. Russell Dorobek and David Garcia Galvan. Heavy intermittent rain on us all the way grom Phoenix to Separ and beyond. Black clouds all the way to the North towards the Gila. Probably muddy uo towards Pietown.

Awe man. Kind of a brutal situation for both of them. I would assume Stefan would have won had he not messed up. For Lael to win because of Stefans mess up is kinda lack luster but also triumphant in that they raced to the finish and she won. I would have had the same attitude as Lael. Strip the bike and sprint!
Funny cause I fell asleep while I was watching Inspired to ride last night.
There are a lot of would of, should have, and could have factors from the first mile of the race. In the end, as long as the rules were observed, Stefan would have won if he'd come in before Lael. Congrats to both for a great race. Congrats to everyone else out there. I'm a back of the packer and it's pretty hard to stick it out for days after the front of the pack finishes.

glad to hear that. dark technical riding is when the shit tends to hit the fan ,for me anyway
I'm not much of a technical rider but when it's dark and I'm tired it's even worse. I've hike a biked that section twice, now.

I've heard some of the single-track through NM is pretty technical. Is Mike through that already, or is it coming up, crossing the Gila?
The section that he's about to get to now, from Sapillo Campground (from Hwy 35) to Pinos Altos is pretty technical. After that nothing technical at all.

Mike may be in for some post-holing up on the pass above Brush Mountain Lodge. I crossed the pass on June 8th, and there was about 3 miles of snowy hiking, and some deadfall to deal with. But it was melting fast. If there's not sow, there will be mud!
I'll take the snow over the mud any day.

I think the usual solution is to route the cables in front of the sweetroll. This may mean fitting longer cables.
That's what my shop guy did. Ran the longest stock cables so that they could be replaced during the race if needed. Everything fits fine.
