I'm planning on doing this as well this year for the first time. Coming up from the Scottsdale area if anyone  needs/wants to carpool.

I will be riding this for the 1st time this year. Looking forward to a great ride, meeting new people, and of course freezing my butt off .I guess some HAB will always keep ya warm!

this is very nice gesture,and a great way to get someone out on a bike.I always have a clunker or two around for out of town friends to use,and a VOODOO is definitely nicer then what I make my friends ride The leave behind thing is really cool too,awesome

^I think I would love to see my state at a touring pace.Would have pictures to put with the memories.SO when are we riding?

oracle was it for me,definately was not ready for all the hiking. No  sleep at night only made matters worse  ,as I couldn't recover.GREAT people,again great people,No regrets.learned a lot ,hopefully will be able to use that knowledge to finish it next year. Better report as I recover.To those who finished,and finished well,much respect.

yeah,just bummed right now.got a good friend who offered his up,just hate the thought of beating on someone's stuff.

 Found out from the bike shop today my rear wheel is toast.Hub split into 2 pieces,collapsed cassette into spokes.That final shakedown ride saved me from an early departure of my first az300 attempt.Now I have 2 days to scrounge up the cash to sort a wheel.SUPER BUMMED right now.

O.K. first my sewing machine starts acting in a way it has never before,and prevents me from finishing some bike bags ,to the shop it has to go.Then yesterday I decide I'll fully load the bike and ride it into work via some local trails for a final shakedown.On the way home the rear wheel locked up completely,To the shop it has to go .Should I ignore these obvious signs?

just pulled my 1 summer old ,riding all over az rampages off due to a sliced sidewall on picketpost.Replaced them conti kings.Wished I would have read this first,very conflicted now.May be buying another new set of rampages,they were excellent till this tear

Anybody looking to shuttle/ride/carpool down from the phoenix area for the 300?Looking to get there thursday afternoon/evening and camp the night before.Newbie here just looking to finish .Can get a ride down if need be,just checking in.Can also take riders down if thats an issue for some,just trying to organize.

Yeah , one older gentleman who lives there actually told us stories of the riders coming through there. Let us fill up our camelbacks and offered us apples , cans of soda.Told him I'd see him in April , repay the kind gesture

Was just there 3 weekends ago with friends.Didnt know about ther 1 on freeman or would have checked it out.PLENTY of water sources along the way,including friendly people in kearny (?) just passed the kelvin bridge.Great route for a single overnite too!

I am also planning on the 300 this year.Getting down to the start is on the list of How to's for me as well.I will most definately call in a favor to get a ride down.Just not sure of day of to start,or day before to sv,spend the night.Will be heading down from scottsdale if anyone is looking to carpool though.Thoughts,questions Pm me,Ben
