Keep safety at the front of your plans but yes, get out there and do something. Four wheeled contraptions are the thing to stay away from. If you are on roads with cars, use good lights and be visible, early morning and dusk are not good times to be on the roads with cars. Please just go.....
Very interesting watching these folks pile on the miles early. It is a long way to Yorktown, anyone's race at this point. Just trying to understand 500 miles in a day and a half or so, on a bike, with a lot of stuff. Some people's ability to block out pain is truly amazing! Safe travels to all.
May all of you enjoy the ride and savor the moment to keep forever. May your travel been safe, for one and for all. May anything with more than 2 wheels yield to your path. Nothing worth doing is easy, this journey will certainly prove that!
Very well said sir! My true respect and amazement goes out to all who have tried this battle of guts and will. I can't even imagine the courage it takes to load your bike in Banff or AW and start moving down the trail not knowing what variables will change and how fast you will be able deal with it, or not!
