anyone have any luck with the gpx link on the CSTR website?  I was hoping to upload it into connect.garmin or ridewithgps.com so I could see something other that a bunch of text.

You may want to try loading the file in Topofusion on your PC or Adze on your Mac. I haven't had luck trying to upload the full file to Garmin Connect. You should be able to split the routes up in one of these programs and then upload it into Garmin Connect. This is the only one I've played with so far: http://connect.garmin.com/course/3094067

Are you guys going commando and riding without underwear? Skin to cycle shorts? I use "tactical" underwear that is polyester and dries quick, but this is only for my rides during the week, I have not taken on a multi-day expedition.

Adze http://kobotsw.com/ is a pretty decent GPX editor for Mac. Only thing it doesn't have is an elevation profile. But you can also export your file to Google Earth and that program has an elevation profile.

I have used it a lot to hack around various GPX files.
