Who's going to get second?

It looks like the gap is now 9 miles.  Can they catch him?  It's going to be tough if they don't start reeling him in soon.  I can't wait to hear all the stories after it's over.

They've got 3 or 4 miles of fairly deep sand just before Separ and a few miles of dirt along I-10 then it's all pavement.  Who's got the most leg left?  Just amazing ride this year by all the front runners.  It's too bad only one can win, but hey, that's racing.  I don't see this finishing in a side by side by side group.

Some of the border guards follow the race too. Maybe if it's close enough they could just open the gates and let them continue to the Panama Canal.

Did I hear that Jay had some bottom bracket issues with the new press fit bb?  I am a Fargo ti owner who might be interested in the Cutthroat.

Looks like Jay and Neil are together and getting something to eat.

Scott M - This is Mrs. Bluechip.  We're about 2 hours from Deming, NM and my husband is starting the Tour Divide 2015 NOBO in Antelope Wells, NM as ITT tomorrow morning.  How do we add him to the TD 2015 trackleaders page?  Given that he is starting early Sunday...I would really like to get him added today.  Any help would be appreciated!

I see the tracker page has been updated to the new route now.  How soon will the trackleader signup be up and running for the rest of us?

Matthew Lee has already said there is a full service truck stop where the route crosses 80 in Wamsutter.  One stop shopping.  Hopefully large stocks on hand for the TD'ers.  I'm not too worried.  I should get there long before all of the Southbounders deplete the supplies.

My FargoTi is 51 lbs with 3 liters of water so it would be just under 45 lbs dry.  I could probably pare it down a couple of pounds but I think I'll leave it as is for now.  Not much time left.  A carbon fork would be nice but it's way too late for that.

The ACA maps lack detail on the areas of the new route.  You would have to print some of your own maps to go along with the ACA maps.

What is the link to add yourself to the TD trackleaders page?  Also the 2015 TD Trackleader page with Billy Rice already on it is the old route still going through Rawlins.  Will it be updated to the new route?

I was having all kinds of trouble on my mac getting the gps on the garmin.  I recently found Ridewithgps and now it's super easy to get it loaded.  It took me less than 5 minutes to get it done this morning.  I paid for the premium account to get the easy write to garmin.  Well worth it to me.

I know I won't catch him, but hopefully I will see him and his daughter on the return leg.  He's from College Station ( I think) which is only 60 or so miles from me.  The GD starts 20 days into my ride.  If things are going well I should be in Northern Montana (crossing fingers) by the time the onslaught of riders charge towards me.  Getting nervous now.

He's from south Texas. I doubt the 84* would bother him too much.  Once you get in the area, I don't think there is too much to do so you might as well head off.  I am shooting for a window between 6-8 am on 5/24.  It works out for my wife to drop me off and for her to get home and still have a relaxing Memorial Day.

If I make it all the way to Banff, I guess I'm going to have to buy some street clothes for the return trip home.  I hear that Banff is really an inexpensive place to make purchases.  :^)

Are there any bike shops that are recommended in Banff to ship my bike home or is it best to do that in Calgary?

Very soon we will publish a TD-specific tracking registration page.  It is nearly ready.  You'll fill out your bio and add SPOT ESN/Share Page there.

I leave for Antelope Wells in one week for my northbound ITT.  Will it be ready by then?   Matthew Lee says the final gps route should be available by then so setting up the tracking is my last pre race detail that still needs to be taken care of.

Any word on North bounder Mike Jolly?  His tracker has him in Silver City since the end of day 1.

I bought a VDO because of the trip function with reverse countdown but it's so unintuitive that I don't think I will ever get used to using it.  I think I'll have to get something simpler to use.  When I am tired I want it as simple as possible.

OK!!?!?!-- How big is your headlight?  Will it fit in an empty soup can or similar?  Interesting problem!
