One can easily over do it with caffeine pills! As you train, try them out. I absolutely melted my stomache last year on the tnga, had to ride the last 40-50 miles in burning pain unable to drink or eat anything. I'm a big coffee drinker, but these pills roasted me.  No fun.

I pulled out in Rincon. Legs and head felt good, my stomach wouldn't take food and water. Both of which I felt necessary. Tried everything! Stomach just cramped up. Spectacular singletrack and evil HAB. Good luck to all racers! Thanks again Scott for making this happen for us.

Planning on TNGA 2013...I have a SC TallBoy that can lock out and a steel, rigid, SS 29er. Thoughts on which is better suited? Not interested in buying another bike for now....
