Hello,

This summer I am embarking on a bikepacking adventure through the Western Himalayas of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. I will be there for 4.5 months - from July to November 2013.   From December to March I will be bikepacking through New Caledonia and Vanuatu.  I was lucky enough to win a sponsored travel fellowship through the University of Washington. https://depts.washington.edu/bondermn/  My aim is not to do a super strenuous 'Tour de Central Asia', but rather to take it slower in order to have fun, absorb the culture, and mountain bike on the pristine mountain trails without the packs.
