Breaking news on twitter: Alex Harris "sprinted from a mile out - took 3rd"...

James Olsen is tracking again and the race for 3rd between him and Alex Harris is going to be great to watch. Just 5 miles between them at the moment and I don't think they've been more than 10 miles apart for the past 48 hours!

Would have put Alex H through Atlantic City slightly ahead of James Olsen. No updates since then, so no idea...

Interesting times this morning .........

Liam C still out there at 3.12am .... must have a hot date in Rawlins! Liam made a late start yesterday at 10.00am but seems to be revitalised by the extra rest and maybe he's got his achilles sorted. No movement from Alex Harris [well his SpoT] and I think he will be in the mix somewhere with James and Liam.

Jesse C has found it too hot in Steamboat Springs, he's on his way at 1.30am, maybe with some intent to take some time out of Craig. He has sounded pretty relaxed in the MTB pod casts in contrast to Craig who was beating himself up about a bad call he made a few nights ago.

Alex Harris confirmed via Twitter that his SPOT batteries have died:

"Just got to Atlantic city in a hailstorm. Sorry folks, think the Spots batteries went bust!" - @alexanderharris, 16h ago.

Does this mean we'll only get updates of his progress via call-ins or Twitter?

Well done Alex [AH] that's tough shit having to waste an hour backtracking at 7.00am in the morning after seven days ... more strength to you!
