We just did a bikepacking overnighter to Mississippi Lake and back a few weeks ago.  The weather was perfect.  I would love to explore a little deeper into the park and do some longer days, but the two guys I was riding with were just getting into biking season shape.  Later in the summer you should take the train the other direction and head from SF into the Marin Headlands and Tomales Bay area.... if you haven't already that is.

Putting the catigories right across the top might help.  I have been to the site 5-6 times and didn't notice them until you mentioned them.  Maybe a brief blurb at the top about the site and the author.... and you could put a few words of how to navigate in there?  Feel free to throw a video of mine up there.  This one is my favorite, but there are a few more that I put on Vimeo.

Let me know if you want more info about the trip before posting it.

I have the WM Megalite, and I love it.  Also WM makes all their bags in the US!

It depends on what route you are taking, but no... there are very few campgrounds in the central valley of California.  I have lived, cycled and camped in California all my life.  If you send me some specifics of your route I may be able to help.

Based on the fact that you posted this in July... I am guessing I may be a little late?

I like it a lot.  I have been looking for something like this to keep me occupied between trips.  Thanks so much for all the hard work that goes into it!

Thanks for sharing!  I have done a few multi day bikepacking trips, but have not bitten of a full 'R' yet.  I think next on my list is the CT, and maybe a 2 day ride around Pikes Peak.  Since you are from CA as well, have you done much bikepacking in the Sierras?

@fatcloud,  Yep.  I have an Ibis hakaluggi Disc, and it is great!  Right now I  just have 35mm tires, but after this cross season I am going to put on some 40mm Clements.  Turns out the one of the Revelate top tube frame bags fits perfectly under the top tube, and my tent fits perfecty in that bag.  I was planning on puting together a group trip in that area at some point, and I will let you know when that is planned for.  I am always down for an adventure too, so let me know if you are ever doing the same.

Glad you all enjoyed the video.  It was a great trip and fun to make the video.

Any one else done any exploring up in this area?  I have done a few trips here now, and I would love to hear from some others who have been riding in this area.  My favorites so far are the Bolinas Ridge Trail, Coast Veiw Trail and Ridgecrest Blvd.
