 I have used various Thermarests in the past but the ones I own are heavy and bulky. This weekend I slept (poorly) on a car windshield sunscreen.

 I have been cycling for...well...40 years. I have raced road bikes, Mt. bikes, triathlons, and been on almost every type of training and recreational ride that can be imagined. Road biking first but I was an early Mt. biking adopter as well. I have been on a few road type tours in the past and bikepacking seems a natural progression since my racing days are pretty much over. My son is now 16 and old enough to go on longer, harder rides. We did our maiden bikepacking trip on the Kokopelli Trail this weekend. Much more for the future.

 I'm a 3rd grade teacher in Western Colorado. My district goes to school 4 days a week (Mon-Thur.). I live near: The Colorado Trail, Kokopelli Trail, GDMBR, and many roads, trails, and tracks in the mountains. My son and I did our maiden voyage bikepacking trip on the Kokopelli trail this weekend.

 I'm planning a bikepacking trip to the Johns Canyon area spring of 2014. Has anyone biked there? What info can you give me? Thanks!!
