10 day Colorado Trail itinerary

I'm a writer and doing a story about riding the Colorado Trail, with a focus on a self-supported trip. I'm looking for suggested ambitious itineraries, something in the 10 day range, which would allow stops at places with nearby refueling. Has anyone done/seen an itinerary like that, or can you suggest one? Thank you.
