Boy was I excited to take my Garmin 62s out for a proper MTB ride this afternoon. I got this unit based on research here (this or eTrex, but REI had a great sale on the 62s) Very cool. Anyway, BirdEye thingy, great. Data, great. Maps, great. However, one small thing
I couldn't see sh#t. All I could see was a reflection of myself looking at the unit. In other words, I could not read this in sunlight. Not even a little. I had the brightness turned up to 11 and still nothing. All the while, I could see the grayscale of my garmin 500 just fine.
Is there a setting I am missing? It can't be this hard to read and still function as such a popular ultra racing GPS.
Um, Help?
