Planning a month-long bikepack for May-June. Interested in running ~3" tires on a steel Vassago Chupcabra and need a new wheelset. Looking for durability and low cost, weight is less of a concern for me. Bike has an old QR not sure what size (10mm?), and 6 bolt attachments. If anyone can point me in the right direction on wheelset options, would be very much appreciated.

Either find a used wheels etc on ebay or mtbr etc, or have one built up using Shimano Slx hubs and whatever 35 to 50 mm rims  you can find on sale. Stans Easton and WTB are all good choices. Those are the cheapest reliable hubs I know of. Good luck

I saw some decent discount on Easton ARC plus rims at chain reaction recently. These would be pretty suitable I suspect.
