So I'm looking for a flatbar gravel bike for bikepacking and could use some advice. I need some suspension as I have compressed vertebrae in my neck and am sensitive to vibration.
The Specialized Diverge Evo looks great, (hopefully the Future Shock on the stem would provide enough buffer, anyone have experience with this?) Unfortunately the bike is now sold out, would a custom build be worth it? (gonna price it out tomorrow...)
Guy at my local shop directed me to a Sirrus X 4.0 as an alternative, as it has the Future Shock, but I'm skeptical that it's sufficiently robust for bikepacking
Next consideration is a Specialized Chisel full front suspension, it's light and feels great to ride, not sure if it's ideal for bikepacking as I haven't bikepacked yet(!) (I have plenty of touring and backpacking experience). Any thoughts?
Any other models I should consider?
Thanks so much for any advice!
