So, I've all but decided on the Oregon 550. Now, do I get the RAM mount, or the Garmin one?

The RAM one has two axes of rotation built in, the Garmin only one. But the RAM one looks big and cumbersome, particularly when the GPS isn't mounted (like commuting). And it's more expensive.

Opinions, anyone?

i think i found it on MTBR but I took my Etrex handlebar mount and converted it into a stem mount.

Get the Garmin one, get two, LOL.

Ditto. [although I have a Vista, and have no comment regarding screen glare specific to the Oregon]

HI
I have a garmin Vista cx and started using the garmin mount but it just gave me trouble.  The screws kept back out (easy fix), the mount released the gps several times, finely it broke. Garmin replaced it, but I now use the RAM mount and have no more worries of flying GPS's.  That my 2 cents.   JRB
