Bikepackers and the impending Zombie apocalypse....

After spending the weekend watching all of the Walking Dead series I came to the realization that my pursuit of the tour divide and backpacking in general will help humanity in the long run. Who else will be as prepared for the impending zombie apocalypse than we, the bikepacking community. While the obese slow moving citizens will be searching for gas, we'll hop on our bikes and head out of dodge. Need to go 120 miles to get to a lake in the mountains...no problem. Need shelter, we're set. Survival skills, check. Ability to stealthily camp, check.
Next time someone asks why you spend so much time riding, look them square in the eye with a crooked smile and say, "The world is depending on me."...then walk away.

Got a point there. And zombies don't like fast food.

It'll suck after a few months in. With the gas stations all looted where am I going to resupply on mini-donuts? Anyone have a gpx to a donut factory?

My son and I who often have conversations about the impending zombie apocalypse aregued about this recently. His claim was that the bicycle would be dangerous because you can't shoot as well while riding. I contended that it was a better stealth / evasion vehicle and you would actually conserve what will end up being a limited supply of ammunitioin by biking for transportation.

You only have to be faster than one other person...
