Hello,

I am currently conducting research to design a bikepacking bike. Your opinions would be really helpful in determining a specific user for this product. If you could take some time to answer the following questions your expertise and experience would help me out alot!

1) What is your bike?

2) What gear do you take with you on long rides?

3) How often do you go on long rides?

4) Do you have a recent picture of your gear you can attach?

5) What would you change about your current setup?

Thank you in advance!

cyclist designer,
Sorry if this comes off wrong, but all of your questions can be answered by simply reading more of the posts on this site.  There is a recent post on rig pics, plenty of gear lists in the personal setup list, training regimes on various posts, and a post or two about the ultimate bikepacking bike.  Just grab something cold to drink and start reading.

I thought that too.  For most folk on here, they'd be posting what they've posted before to answer the questions.

If you're wanting an insight into how folk have got into bikepacking, have a look through the introduction thread.  There's lot of explanations on there.

I think the biggest collection of setups is over on MTBR too, that should give you plenty to look through.

Who are you asking? Just like in normal mountainbiking, there are many different kinds of bikepacking and many different preferences in both the bike and the equipment.
