I live in ohio and I am a die hard commuter. Like much of the rest of the country we have been having a heck of a winter. Until this year my sunglasses have served me admirably. The last few months my lenses have frozen over or fogged worse then ever, and last week they got so cold that they froze over then cracked when I walked in the door at work. I was thinking of getting some goggles. Give me some ideas. Until it gets around 35ish I don't cover my face, if it gets around 35 to 25 I have he standard balaclava or a gaiter, any colder then that and I use a cold avenger expedition balaclava.

Ski goggles? or maybe some of the goggle/sunglass hybrid things that motorcyclists wear? or I think I've even seen some clear face shields that mount onto bike helmets. As long as it's not snowing/raining I wear glasses and love them.

I've had several surgeries on my left eye and it is extremely sensitive to cold. I wear clear safety glasses all the time and find that the wrap around design works very well. Ive worn them at -28 C on my bike and been comfortable. But I wasn't out there for more than a few hours. My favorite pair is a cheap set from wall mart.

When it starts getting super cold and windy around here (IA), I start wearing a set of ski goggles as well. I do still have some issues with fogging if I have my regular glasses on the inside as they are almost sealed a little too well around my face.

+1 on the goggles. Now is a good time of year to find them on sale. If you have a Dicks Sporting Goods handy they have a large selection. I have an inexpensive pair of Bolle that do not fog and are fairly comfortable to wear. Excellent protection.
