I've got a trip planned for next month and I'm trying to work out how to use the etrex unit for navigation. I have a few questions/concerns.

Which is better to use? route or track? Pro's con's for each. I'm doing the NW Arkansas loop.

I've downloaded both the route and track for my trip and I have the OSM generic routable US AR 19_07_2019 map.

Map looks perfect in Basemap. It has the right amount of detail, easy to understand, etc. But on the garmin it looks like crap. Have I done something wrong or is this simply because the limits of the garmin display? Maybe once I'm on route, it will be easier to view.

I can sort this out but I need to be sure I have everything on the device once I start (obviously).

Thanks in advance.

If the route is not too large and you want turn by turn instructions, route.
If is too long to use route and you just want to show in the gps, track will work.
