dingle on the CT?

My bro and i are going to do the CT next summer. I am an sser and he is geared. I am wondering if there is enough trail/detour road where I will be spinning like mad and he will be getting frustrated that I should do a dinglespeed setup. I have a 29er monocog and ride it 32:20 now. I am thinking with the altitude and gear i would run a 32:22 for the climbing.
Thanks for any thoughts

The only places you'll be really spun out is coming into towns. You'll probably both be happy for the short break coasting together.
