I recently did some work for a friend who works at backcountry.com.  Aaaanyway part of my payment is gonna be a hammock, which one of these would you recommend.  I'm liking the looks of the No-see-um Hammock Bliss.  Thoughts?  I already have a good tarp in my possession so that's not really an issue

Thanks a bundle

I'd go with the Bliss if this is going to be your main hammock. Hammocks are all fun and games until the mosquitos come. I've been using a Clark Jungle hammock for years, and that screen has been indispensable. Is the Bliss a four-rope system, or two ropes that loop around trees?

May I suggest that you checkout www.hammockforums.net. There you can all the info on all hammocks, bug protection, insulation methods, suspension methods, etc. There are several bikepacker members over there. I use a Warbonnet Traveler most of the time. I changed the suspension and it now weighs 7.9 oz. I use it without bug net in non bug season and I have a 3.3 oz HUG bug net for bug season. The Grand Trunk Nano-7 can be made lighter by discarding the heavy biners that come with it and using whoopie sling suspension.

Thanks for the replies, I've checked out that site a few times, tons of good info.  I went with the Bliss with the bug net.  It makes for a really nice nights sleep hearing the bugs bug not being eaten by them.  Super easy set-up and waking up in the morning without a sore back and shoulders from sleeping on the ground is nice when you have a long day in the saddle ahead of you.  I would recommend it
