Garmin states 25 hours battery life, I've read about 40 hours battery life with lithiums.

What kind of battery life are people getting while having the eTrex 30 linked to your HR monitor?

If it knocks down battery enough I am just going to go with the 20 and leave the HR monitor at home.

Well, REI has the eTrex 30 on sale for $220 during their anniversary sale, only $35 more than the 20.  That brings the price in close enough to the 20 that I will pick it up tonight and try this out myself.  I'll post back when I have a chance to do a compare of battery life with HR monitor and without HR monitor.
