So I know this has been done, but I've come across some good deals on MTBs without mounting eyelets, which has me worried in case I wanted a little more room (even just having a rack with things on top).

Has anyone done this before? (I'm looking at a possible 6 month first journey, 2 - 3 year total journey)
I know Joe Cruz has posted some great stuff on bikepacking the route I'm looking at, but I still have my doubts.

Thoughts?
Opinions?

How about a Freeloader? http://www.freeload.co.nz/

They've since been bought buy thule http://www.thule.com/en/ae/products/luggage-and-bags/bike-bags-and-racks/racks/thule-pack-n-pedalt-sport-rack-_-pp_100015

or pannier version http://www.thule.com/en/ae/products/luggage-and-bags/bike-bags-and-racks/racks/thule-pack-n-pedalt-tour-rack-_-pp_100016

I've got the thule non-pannier one, it's brilliant Cheesy

Woof, those look like they are held on by a wish and a prayer!

But it did remind me of this guy: http://www.extrawheel.com/

Which if on a 29er, would be very useful to have!

Ignore this thread, problem solved.
